Robert P. Ehrgood

|Robert P. Ehrgood, 88, of Plains, died Saturday morning at the home he shared with his wife of 36 years, Beverly.
Born April 17, 1929, in Scranton, he is the son of the late Julian and Helen (Owens) Ehrgood. Before his retirement, Bob was employed by Bell Atlantic for 46 years. He was a 56-year member of Moscow Lodge # 504 and was a member of the Irem Temple Shrine. A WWII Naval reservist, he was also a member of the Bell Telephone Pioneers and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he enjoyed construction projects and woodworking. He was known for his wonderful storytelling and engaging personality. In 1955, he was involved in the rescue of several people when flooding from Hurricane Diane ravaged the Moscow area. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Susan L. Ehrgood of Arkadelphia, Ark.; Robert P. Ehrgood Jr. and wife, Marie, of Moscow; Debra Ehrgood – Butler and husband, Craig, of Point Pleasant, N.J.; Jae Ehrgood of Binghamton, N.Y.; Gregg A. Ehrgood and wife, Beth, of Madison Twp.; and Brian L. Ehrgood and wife, Cindy, of Hamlin; four stepchildren, William Corcoran and wife, Ruth; Diane Leonard and husband, Tom; Susan Wampole and husband, Ted; and Carolyn Corcoran; 20 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul Ehrgood, Julian (4-years-old) and William (21-months-old).
A memorial service and Masonic funeral rite will be conducted privately in January 2018.
