John F. ‘Jack’ Morgan

|John F. “Jack” Morgan, 84, of Scranton died Monday in Celtic hospice at Geisinger in Wilkes-Barre following a lengthy illness. His wife, the former Joan F. Ross, died Sept. 5, 2011.
Born Dec. 3, 1932, in Queens, N.Y., he was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Caveny) Morgan. He was a graduate of Cathedral High School of Scranton. Jack was an Army veteran, serving from 1951 until 1954. Before his retirement, he was employed at Chamberlain Manufacturing as a shipping foreman. Jack was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Scranton and was a life member of the VFW.
Surviving are his sister, Patricia Orgill; his niece, Joan Stawser and husband, Richard; his nephew, John Orgill and wife, Debbie; great-nieces and nephews; and caregiver, Rose Juice.
Jack was preceded in death by his brother, Arnold Morgan; and his beloved nephew, Louis “Kipp” Lombardo and wife, Jean; and his brother- and sister-in-laws.

Interment will be conducted at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
