James P. Rainey

|James P. Rainey, 59, of Gouldsboro died Saturday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit in Dunmore following a two year battle with cancer. His wife is the former Carole Heier. The couple celebrated 29 years of marriage on Oct. 3, 2016.
Born Jan. 31, 1958 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Paul J. and Anne (Ward) Rainey Sr. James was a graduate of Luzerne County Community College and was employed as a graphics artist, working extensively in the commercial art field.
He was of the Catholic faith, attending St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Casey H. Rainey, Jameson H. Rainey and Mason H. Rainey,
James was also preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Rainey; and his brother, John Rainey; and his father-in-law, Robert Heier.
A blessing service will be conducted:
Interment will be conducted at Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
