|James F. Huff, Sr., 78, of Moscow died Saturday at Geisinger Community Medical Center following an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. (Haswell) Huff on May 26, 2002.
Born Sept. 13, 1939 in Scranton, he was the son of the late Frank and Margaret (Bell) Huff Sr. James was a graduate of the University of Scranton and received his master’s degree from Fordham University in New York. Before his retirement, he was employed as executive director of St. Michael’s School in Tunkhannock and had previously worked extensively in many areas of social services.
Surviving are his sons, James F. Huff Jr. and Janice Brousseau of Houston, Texas; and Jeffrey Huff and wife, Kristine, of Montreal, Canada; his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Zielinski and husband, Gerald, of Connecticut; Margaret A. Davie of Ohio; his brothers, Frank Huff Jr., Thomas Huff and wife, Joan, of Pennsylvania; and William Huff and wife, Cathy, of New Jersey; and grandchildren, Meghan, Lauren, Riley, James III, Sarah; and several nieces and nephews. James is also survived by his dear friend Ann Phillips of Scranton.
His sister, Ann (Huff) Jaskot, also preceded him in death.
A Mass will be celebrated:
Internment will be conducted in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Covington Twp.
