|Howard Kriger Sr., Throop, died Sunday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient Unit in Dunmore after an illness. His wife is the former Elvira R. Pron. The couple celebrated 60 years of marriage on Nov. 8, 2016.
Born July 10, 1935 in Scranton, son of the late Elmer and Mary Grzenda Kriger, he was an Air Force veteran and was employed for many years at the Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp. before retirement. Howard was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church in Scranton.
Howard’s family would like to thank everyone who extended kindness and help during his illness.
Also surviving are his daughter, Donna Crocco and husband, Ray, Moss Point, Miss.; son, Howard Kriger Jr. and wife, Sandy, Washington Terrace, Utah; sisters, Elmae Whalen, Orlando, Fla.; Ruth Ravinskas, Wharton, N.J.; and Charlotte Hafich, Dickson City; brother, Alfred Kriger Sr., Dickson City; three grandchildren, Frank Colachino Jr. and fiancée, Joann Bonanno, Texas; Dana Mace and Michelle Kriger, Utah; great-grandchild, Joei Velten, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted privately as requested by Howard Sr.
