Edith Mae Shaffer

|Edith Mae Shaffer, 80, of Moscow, died Monday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton after being stricken ill at her home. She was the widow of Harold J. Shaffer, who died Feb. 22, 2016.
Born Feb. 27, 1937 in Scranton, daughter of the late Charles and Edith Haines Hannon, Edith was employed in her younger years in the garment industry and had been employed by Elby’s Big Boy, and Bill’s Shoprite.
Edith was a member of the Moscow United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Tammy L. McCracken and husband, Joseph, Moscow; son, Timothy Shaffer and wife, Lorraine, Covington Twp.; grandsons, J.T. McCracken and wife, Crystal; and Daniel McCracken; great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Brooklyn; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, John Hannon and Charles Hannon; and sisters, Elizabeth Hannon and Margaret “Peggy” Jacobs.
Funeral services will be:
Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst Twp.
