Betty C. Yackamovich

|Betty C. Yackamovich, 95, of Scranton, died Wednesday at Mountain View Care Center in Scranton after an illness. She was the widow of Joseph C. Yackamovich, who died in 1971.
Born Oct. 7, 1922, daughter of the late DeVere and Mertie Benedict Gager, Betty was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and was a longtime member of the Court Street United Methodist Church.
Betty worked in the textile industry, as well as Oppenheim’s Scranton Dry Goods and Wes Freidman.
The family would like to send special thanks to Dr. Emma Rubin, and the nurses and staff at Mountain View Care Center, especially the Magical Court.
Surviving are her daughter, Susan M. Kincel and husband, James, Scranton; brother, Donald Gager, New York; daughter-in-law, Arlene; grandchildren, Lisa Lloyd and husband, William, Joseph; Daniel; David and wife, Stephanie; James Kincel Jr. and wife, Jennifer; Katherine Shoemaker and husband, Jacob; great-grandchildren, David Jr., Nicole, Cameron and Kepler; and nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph R. Yackamovich; sister, Marion Schirg; and brother, Reed C. Gager.
Funeral services will be:
Interment and committal services will be at Fairview Memorial Park.
