Alverda M. Mills

|Alverda M. Mills, 76, of Gouldsboro, died Thursday at Hospice of the Sacred Heart Inpatient in Dunmore after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the widow of Eugene Mills.
Born Aug. 19, 1940 in Covington Twp., daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine Hoch Larnerd, Alverda was a member of Daleville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Alverda C. Thomas and husband, Richard, Gouldsboro, with whom she resided; and Nicole M. Howe and husband, Edwin, Covington Twp.; sister, Jessie Fritz, Madison Twp.; brother, Walter Larnerd, Cooksville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Devon Thomas, Connor Parry, Afton Howe, Taylor Thomas, Megan Thomas and Jordan Thomas; and three great-grandsons, Peyton, Isaiah and Sean.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Leeann Mills; brother, Freeman Larnerd; and sister, Catherine Parry.
Funeral services and burial will be conducted privately in Madison Union Cemetery, Madison Twp.
